One Month and Two Month Post

Since we are still getting adjusted at our house we have been a little behind. The first few weeks were a little rough for us. Jay has reflux like his big sister did but Zantac did not work for him. Now he is on Prevacid and a MUCH happier baby. It just took a little longer for us to figure out what was going on. Since the Zantac wasn't working Jay was over eating to soothe himself since he was in so much pain. He was crying a lot because of the pain (we weren't sure if he was colic or not) and then he was gassy because of all of the crying. So now with the new medicine we are all much happier in our house!

 

Jay's Growth Charts:

8/9/13:

8.25lbs (70th percentile), 20.25" (71 percentile)

9/6/13:

11 lbs (80 percentile), 22.75 (96 percentile) --He is one month here and the size of a 2 month

10/10/13:

13.25 lbs (74 percentile), 24.25 (93 percentile)--Two months old the size of a 4 month

Our doctor said there is nothing to worry about. He is not overweight he is just a big boy!

 

About Jay at two months:

-Eats every 3 hours throughout the day. Sometimes he misses his 11:00 feeding and sleeps for about 6 hours which is nice. Not always though.

-Loves to be held over our shoulder

-He loves his bouncy seat! Whenever he is fussy and can't go to sleep we put him in his bouncy seat and bounce it and he's usually asleep in a few minutes.

-Also loves his boppy lounger but he's getting too long for it.

-Is doing really well at holding his head up.

-Sleeps on his back in the pack-n-play in our room.

-Jay is starting to smile and coo at us!

-Knows who mommy, daddy, and Annie Knox are.

-He does not like getting put in the car seat but once he calms down he usually falls asleep.

-Gets taken everywhere with Mommy while she works (He has shown many houses)

-Wears size 0-3 months and 3 months.

-Size 1 diapers

-Sleeps with a sound machine every night

-Is a big burper

 

Baby boy, we love you so much!! You have stolen our hearts just like your sister has. She loves you so much and we can tell you love her. You are already watching every move she makes. We love you and thank God every day for blessing us with you! Happy 2 months!!
