Annie Knox turned 7 months the week of the 4th of July! She also had two more teeth come in that week so now she has a total of 3 teeth! She has two on the bottom and one on the top. This age is SOOO much fun! She knows who we are which is wonderful but we have noticed she is getting attached. She is usually fine going to other people but sometimes she will just cry for Will or me. This morning before Will left for work he came to say bye to us and Annie Knox stuck that bottom lip out and kept reaching for Will. It was the sweetest thing! Then she saw I was getting her breakfast ready and she saw Reese and was completely fine. I guess that's one good thing, she can be distracted very easily. We put Annie Knox on the scale at the beach and I think it was right around the 18lb mark. She is still wearing 6 month clothes and 6-9 months. There are a few things that are 6-12 months that she can wear but they are mostly way too big. She wears size 2 diapers.
For a little while Annie Knox was going through a spell of not sleeping through the night. We think it may have been the teething. Now she is sleeping back through the night!
Annie Knox's Schedule:
8:00am- Wakes up and eats a fruit for breakfast
9:00am- 4oz bottle of formula
10:00-11:00- nap time
11:00- lunch time (fruit or veggie)
12:00- 4 oz bottle of formula
1:00-2:00 or 2:30- nap time
3:00- 4 oz bottle of formula
Sometimes between the 3 and 6 feeding she may take a little 30 minute nap but not all the time.
6:00- 4 oz bottle of formula
7:00-dinner (chicken or turkey)--we tried meat but that really upset her tummy
8:00-8:30-if she stays up long enough she will take another 4oz bottle and then bedtime!
She may wake up during the middle of the night but she usually just rolls around a bit and then falls asleep on her own. I used to run back any time she woke up but then she knew that I would go back there. She also would wake up if I went back there. Now I just wait it out. She has a sound machine that goes all night long that we love!!
Updates:
-AK loves playing on the floor with toys
-She loves anything that plays music and lights up
-Her favorite foods: apples, bananas, pears, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, vegetable chicken, chicken and rice, turkey and sweet potatoes
-She loves her snacks- cookies or puffs (I ususally just give her puffs because those are sooo much easier to clean up than the cookie)
-AK loves riding in the car--this is great for beach trips!
-Mickey Mouse Clubhouse makes her so happy- when the opening song and closing song come on she starts dancing/rocking
-Reese (our dog)- She LOVES him- AK will listen for him and when she hears him she lights up
-Loves Water- the pool, bath, beach, etc.
-Loves to Play copy cat- If I make a noise she will try and copy it..
-Loves squeezing Sophie and it makes Reese go crazy
-She loves playing and watching other babies. When she see's Bo she gets so excited but we are having to work on her sharing. Anything he holds she wants!
-Talking- she doesn't really say anything we can understand but she is trying to talk to us
-Loves to sleep with a pillow under her legs. She kept waking herself up at night because she would hold her legs up in the air and then when she would fall asleep they would fall and so she would wake up. Now we put a little pillow under her legs to prop them up and she sleeps so much better!
-Holding our hands- It is the sweetest thing! She loves to hold our hands especially when she is tired and trying to fall asleep. The problem is once she falls alseep and we try to get our hands away she will wake up and wants them so we give her a love to hold now and it helps some but she really wants our hands.
-Lovie- she has 4 different lovies that we switch out and she sleeps with one every night
-Still rocking/dancing. When any music comes on she will rock. Our little dancer....
-Annie Knox is now in her big girl car seat. This is the car seat that we plan on keeping her in for a long time. She is still facing backwards but it is sooo much easier getting her in and out of the car without the infant seat. Now that she is older and weighs more.
-We have a mirror in the car so we can look back and see her but it has little animals on it and makes music so she loves it and loves looking at herself. Keeps her entertained!
I am having the best time with our sweet baby girl! It makes me so sad to think how fast she is growing up but I'm so excited to see what is to come!
I love you so much Annie Knox and am so thankful God chose me to be your mommy!!
