2 Months 2/2/12

Annie Knox and I just walked in the door from her 2 month Appointment. Well, techincally 2 months and 5 days. Dr. Butcher said everything looked wonderful! She was weighed, measured, they checked her temperature, asked questions, etc. She is growing perfectly! Annie Knox has started teething...yes, our 2 month old has started the looooonnnngggg process. She may not get any teeth for a few more months but the drooling, and chewing has started. Dr. Butcher could also feel them on the bottom of her mouth. She also received 2 shots and some gel today which were not fun for either one of us. The gel is for the stomach bug. That was easy for her because she still takes Zantac every 8 hours for her acid reflux. The shots were to prevent the following: Polio, Pneumococcal Disease, Diphtheria, Tetanus & Pertussis, Rotavirus, and Hib. She received her second round of the Hep B on her last visit. She only cried for a second when they gave her the first shot. I was thinking..."oh that wasn't so bad". Once she received the second shot she was not happy! There were some tears and screaming. Once I got her calmed down and in her car seat she went straight to sleep. Growth Chart: 2 months and 5 days
Weight: 12 lbs 4 oz (75 percentile)
Length: 24 inches (96th percentile)
Now our next appointment is Annie Knox's 4 month appointment on April 3rd (My birthday!). Annie Knox at 2 months
Loves:
-Swinging
-Sitting in your Boppy Seat
-Watching TV (you just started doing this)
-Being Talked to (you love to laugh and coo)
-Playing peak-a-boo
-You are still a morning girl! (I ablsolutely love hearing you in the morning. You usually start talking to yourself and if I look in the playpen and you see me or your Daddy you start smiling)
-Being Swaddled (We still have to swaddle you to keep you asleep. At night you have started moving around a lot more. When you wake up you are usually in a diagonal.)
-Bath time! (Now that you are in the water you love it)
Dislikes:
-Not getting your medicine on time. (You are much better at taking your medicine now but if we go a little over 8 hours without taking it you are in pain.)
-Getting your hat on (once it is on you are fine...unless it covers your eyes)
-Getting in your car seat (When we first put you in your seat you aren't happy but once the seat is moving/rocking you usually fall right asleep)
-Getting out of the bath tub (It's ok I don't like it either...who likes to be cold?)
Baby girl you amaze us every day! You are always learning and such an easy baby (knock on wood!). You usually only cry when you are hungry, need to be changed, or need your medicine. Your sleep schedule for the night is from about 9:00 until 3:30 am and then you wake up around 6:30 or 7:00am and then somtimes sleep until 8:30 or 9:30. We are still working on getting you to sleep through the night. We love you so much!!!!
