I cannot believe my little baby is now a toddler! Annie Knox turned one on December 2nd. We had her first birthday party at my parents house on Saturday night. She opened presents, played with new toys, and of course ate some cake. There were no tears while everyone sang happy birthday. She wasn't as interested in the cake as she normally is but I think it's because she was wanting to get down and play.
Annie Knox started trying to take her first steps a few weeks before her first birthday. She would take two or three and then drop to her bottom. After her birthday party ended we stuck around my parents house and Annie Knox and Bo were playing. Annie Knox started showing off by taking lots of steps! She even got a little full of her self and took a toy from Bo, pushed him back, and walked away with the toy. Diva!
Now she is mostly walking! If she is trying to keep up with Bo she may try and walk and then drop to her bottom to crawl but she prefers walking now. Annie Knox also loves to hold your hand while she walks. Just to give her some reassurance but she can do it on her own.
Annie Knox is now completely off of formula.....YES!!! She has about 16oz of whole milk a day. She usually has one bottle mid-morning, one in the afternoon, and one before bedtime. She is supposed to be taking the milk in a sippy cup but she will not have it. So we are working with her little by little to get rid of the bottles and on to milk in the sippy cup. Hopefully we can make the transition soon.
Annie Knox is eating all kinds of foods! She really loves anything which makes it really easy on us.
Annie Knox is still napping twice a day (well most days). She usually naps around 10:30 until 11:30 and then in the afternoon around 2:30-4:00 or longer. It always depends which day it is. When she goes to WWS she doesn't take a nap so when I pick her up at 1:00 she usually passes out in the car before I get her buckled in. When she goes to FBC she takes a nap that morning so when I pick her up at 2:00 she will usually wait to get home and fall asleep around 2:30 or 3:00.
Annie Knox loves riding in her push toy car. She also loves getting into things. At church they have a little baby doll bed that they keep all the baby dolls in. She likes to get every baby doll out and then she will stand or sit in the bed. She loves climbing on chairs and trying to stand in them. We are definitely getting into all kinds of things now. Baby proofing everything!
Annie Knox, we have absolutely no idea what we would do without you. You light up our lives every day. We miss you any time we are not with you. Our world now revolves completely around you and we are so thankful that God gave us you. We love you little girl!!!
